We specialise in writing a range of reports which support school self-evaluation, planning and improvement.
A detailed analysis of your primary school's results across all statutory tests & assessments. Includes three year trends, benchmarking against national & local performance and pupil groups analyses. This report is usually produced over the summer, ready for use in self-evaluation exercises at the start of autumn term. Uses data from Perspective Lite.
As above, but without pupil group analyses.
These reports are individually researched and produced, with the aim of providing school leaders, stakeholders and external audiences with a detailed demographic and contextual profile of their school. These reports should be even more relevant & useful than ever before, given the increased focus on ‘context’ in the new inspection framework. And if it’s been a few years since you last commissioned one of these reports it would be a good time to consider commissioning an updated version.
Due to the larger numbers of pupils and the greater geographic areas covered in secondary 'catchments', these reports for secondary schools take longer to produce and are charged accordingly. Please contact us to discuss.
These reports can be produced for any setting (infants, juniors, special, AP etc). Please contact us to discuss your individual characteristics and needs.
A new inspection framework is due to be introduced from September 2025, but at this point in time there is only limited information about how performance data will be used within the inspection process, and what will be expected from schools in terms of self-evaluation etc. As such, the offer of support for inspection preparation may need to be developed and adapted over the coming months.
Writing your SEF can be a daunting and time-consuming exercise. Whether you are just updating your existing SEF or starting with a blank page, I provide individually tailored support to produce a self-evaluation which successfully presents the evidence of your school's effectiveness in relation to the inspection handbook grade descriptors.
Understanding how inspectors will be using your attainment, attendance and contextual data is important, especially if you are in the OFSTED ‘window’. I can lead a personalised discussion focussed on your individual data. These sessions will give you the opportunity to ask questions, to explore any key messages arising, and to gain an insight into how inspectors might interpret your published data. They can be delivered 1-2-1 or with a small group of senior leaders.
These sessions provide an excellent opportunity for governors, senior leaders and/or staff to develop their awareness and understanding of your school's performance data. For this coming year, there is likely to be an additional focus on the implications of the new OFSTED framework, and of how performance data is being used and interpreted within the inspection process. Sessions can be delivered during the school day or in the evening, in-person or online as required.
If you are interested in training for larger groups (‘families’ or ‘clusters’ of schools, ‘learning alliances’, MATs etc) please contact me to discuss your requirements.
Whether you want to review your approach to tracking pupil attainment & progress, advice on how to make best use of FFTAspire, support with writing your Pupil Premium strategy - or anything else - please contact me to discuss.
